Jack Summerall Scholarship
Amount
We are excited to recognize eligible students graduating from high school with a one-time scholarship or donation (depending on availability of funds). Scholarships will be awarded to students who apply and meet the eligibility requirements below.
Eligibility
High school graduates who
- Have attended at least ONE SUMMERALL GATHERING in the last three (3) years as a registered member and parent(s) are registered members for 2026 Gathering or if unable to attend due to school obligations, provide documentation of conflicts (i.e. letter of participation on letterhead).
- Have successfully completed high school or other training and have included an official final transcript.
- Have obtained an unweighted cumulative GPA (grade point average) of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale or an overall weighted GPA of 80 or above on a 4.0 scale. If your school uses another grading scale, you must include a copy of the conversion table or a letter from the guidance counselor indicating what your score is on a 4.0 scale.
How to Apply
No electronic copy of the application packet will be accepted this year. All documents must be in one envelope and postmarked by July 15, 2026.
The application packet must include the following:
- Complete application form
- Official high school or other school transcript
- Copy of registration letter that he/she has been accepted into an accredited college/university, vocational, or technical school.
- Have included two letters of recommendation on letterhead from someone who is NOT related to the applicant: school personnel, minister (spiritual leader) and community service organization, etc.
- Submission of an essay (no less than 250 words) on your intended major, future plans, why you deserve to receive this scholarship, and your connection to Jack and Mariah Summerall.
- Any addition pages needed for completing the application
- Please include a photograph (wallet size) if possible.
